Samsung Washer 5C Error in Vancouver, WA
If your Samsung washer in Vancouver is sitting full of water with 5C on the display — 5E on older models, and the 5 can look like an S, so it may read 'SC' — it has a drain fault: the washer could not empty in time. We have done hundreds of washer repairs in Vancouver, and this code is one of the regulars: most of the time it is the drain filter, not a dead pump.

Quick checks before you call:
- Unplug the washer. Open the small door at the bottom right of the front panel.
- Drain the water through the small hose into a shallow pan, then unscrew the round filter and clean it.
- Check the drain hose behind the washer for kinks and make sure the standpipe is clear.
- Put the filter back and run Drain & Spin empty. If 5C returns and the pump is silent, the pump motor has likely failed — that is repair work, and we can do it on site for most Samsung models. Top-load models have no filter door — check the hose first, then call us.
When it is a pro job: a failed drain pump, or 5C that comes back with a clean filter and a working pump. A pump replacement typically runs $260–$440 in parts and labor. Our service call in Vancouver is $89, credited toward the repair, and the repair is covered by a 90-day warranty. Call (360) 667-1567.
